Roseville Girls Softball Winter Program:

Differences between coaching styles and/or philosophies will not be hampered or interfered with by those not on the coaching staff.
 - Unlike the RGS spring season, placement on a team is not guaranteed.   Also, unlike the spring season, the competition level of NorCal is higher, similar to a “lighter version” of travel ball.
 - In addition, player and parent conduct expectations are also set.  We have the "24 hour" rule, defined and enacted: The 24 hour rule is where a parent sees something happen during the game impacting the treatment of their daughter and is extremely unhappy with how things were handled. This should only be addressed to the coach 24 hours after the end of the game/tournament. The benefit of the 24 hour rule is that typically by the time 24 hours has passed, most of the emotion of the situation has dissipated and both parties (parents AND coach) can then discuss the situation as adults.
   - Coaches are able to select girls from any spring team
   - All other players will be placed on a waiting list and may be placed on a team as roster spots become available.
   - Rosters vary between 11 and 14 players per team.
   - The divisions will be divided into five age groups: 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U & 16U.
   - Placement within age bracket will be based upon the player’s age as of Dec 1st of current year.
- No Move ups from Spring 6u to 8u winterball allowed
- No Move ups from Spring 8u to 10u winterball (Unless the whole team is an 8u move up team)
   - All divisions will play on Sunday at 11am & 1pm (vs the same team)
   - NorCal Winter Ball involves inter-league play with other leagues affiliated with NorCal Girls Softball. Check www.NorCalSoftball.org for a complete list of sites.
   - Winterball is open to all girls that played (8u-16u) and participated in same calendar year of RGS spring season.
   - The Winter Ball season begins Labor Day weekend with a seeding Tournament,  The  Tournament, and runs through early November with an end of season Tournament, The Down and Dirty Tournament.
   - Any question can be forwarded to NorCalRep@RosevilleGirlsSoftball.org, and will be handled accordingly.
   - ** To be eligible to coach in the winter ball program coaches must have coached in the Spring Season
   - When the Winterball season is over, it’s over.   Any team participating outside of the guidelines is doing so without the intellectual property / name or support of Roseville Girls Softball, using the name/names/uniforms outside the Winterball program is strictly prohibited.
