Spring Recreation

Our primary season is the spring recreational season which runs from mid February through the end of May. This season is open to all interested players within our boundaries. No experience is necessary. No tryouts required. Each registered player is placed on a team. The spring season is played primarily internally within our own league.

Age Divisions:
5u, 6u, 8u, 10u, 12u, 14u, 16u

Fall Recreation

The secondary season is the fall recreational season which runs August through early November. This season is open to all interested players within our boundaries. The fall season tends to be a little more competitive as our teams will play against teams from neighboring leagues. This season is overseen by NorCal Girls Softball.

8u, 10u, 12u, 14u, 16u

Clinics

The league hosts a variety of player clinics over the course of the year to assist player development. Some are free and some have additional costs associated. These clinics are normally done in partnership with our local high schools and other local softball community members. These clinics are open to any RGS participants.

6u, 8u, 10u, 12u, 14u, 16u

Thunder All-Stars

The Thunder All-Stars is a competitive tournament program played over the course of the summer months of late May, June and July. Only players from the Spring Recreational season are eligible to play and must tryout and be selected to a team. The goal is to qualify and attend Nationals.

8u, 10u, 12u, 14u, 16u

Thunder Select

The Thunder Select is a part of the USA Softball Select Program, a longer version of All-Stars. Only players participating in the Spring Recreational season are eligible to play and must tryout and be selected to a team. This team will start tournaments in late February and play tournaments in addition to  the recreational season during the spring then play the Summer tournament season as well. The season lasts from January through July. The goal is to qualify and attend Nationals.

10u, 12u, 14u
